Former Amazon AI Executive Joins CoreWeave Leadership
Jon Jones, previously a vice president at Amazon Web Services, has taken the role of chief revenue officer at CoreWeave, according to reports. The New Jersey-based AI computing company recently went public and continues to expand its executive team amid growing competition in the artificial intelligence infrastructure sector.
Sources indicate Jones spent over five years at AWS, most recently serving as VP of global startups and venture capital before his departure. Despite joining CoreWeave, Jones will maintain his residence in Seattle, reflecting the distributed nature of modern tech leadership. His career spans three decades, including experience as a startup company founder and enterprise executive.
“I’m thrilled to join CoreWeave at such an important moment,” Jones stated in the announcement. “AI adoption is advancing at an extraordinary pace, and lasting success depends on pairing world-class technology with the right go-to-market strategy.”
F5 Appoints New Technology Leader Following Security Incident
In other executive moves, Michael Montoya has been named chief technology operations officer at F5 during a challenging period for the Seattle-based networking company. The appointment comes the same week F5 disclosed a significant security breach allegedly linked to nation-state hackers, according to the report.
The company, whose hardware and software manage substantial portions of global internet traffic, stated that attackers maintained “long-term, persistent access” to certain product development and engineering systems before containment. Montoya resigned from his position as chief operating officer at cybersecurity firm BlueVoyant and left the F5 board of directors to assume the new role.
Analysts suggest Montoya’s extensive background, including nearly 13 years across two stints at Microsoft and previous chief information security officer roles at Equinix and Digital Realty, positions him to address F5’s current security challenges while overseeing technology operations.
Travel and Technology Sector Executive Movements
Umang Choudhary, a longtime Expedia Group executive, has joined Singapore-based travel platform Traveloka as vice president of product, according to industry reports. Choudhary spent over 14 years at the Seattle travel giant before departing in 2022, later taking roles at logistics startup Convoy and serving as contractual chief product officer for Moxee Technologies.
Meanwhile, Phil Gousman has been appointed head of product operations at Casium, a Seattle immigration solution startup that emerged from the AI2 Incubator last year. Gousman previously led strategy and operations for data products at LSEG focused on fraud prevention and identity verification. The startup aims to streamline immigration processes through algorithmic assessment of visa options and document preparation assistance.
“We’re going to make ‘immigration’ and ‘delightful user experience’ belong in the same sentence,” Gousman announced on LinkedIn, highlighting the company’s user-centric approach to a traditionally complex process.

Joel Beherndt has joined SEI Seattle as head of market development and client strategy for the Bellevue office. SEI provides consultancy services for AI applications, data analytics, and security compliance. Beherndt previously spent 14 years with consulting firm Point B.
SEI Seattle Managing Director Bonnie Coté stated that Beherndt’s “proven ability to drive growth through top tier delivery, executive relationships, and brand expansion makes him the right leader to help grow our presence here,” according to the announcement.
These executive movements coincide with broader industry developments in technology and market trends affecting global business operations. The changes reflect ongoing related innovations in executive recruitment patterns across multiple sectors.
